Primary Purpose This position provides comprehensive physical security oversight to protect employees, facilities, and assets by implementing compliant security programs, investigating incidents, maintaining security systems, and coordinating response to emergencies and threats.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a 4-year degree in a relevant field, or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
  • Typically requires 5 years of related experience.
  • Must reside in Southern California or be willing to relocate upon hire.
  • Business Security Management - The processes undertaken to protect an organization's assets.
  • Security Risk Management - The ongoing process of identifying security risks and implementing plans to address them.
  • Regulatory Compliance - Ensuring an organization's adherence to laws, regulations, guidelines and specifications relevant to its business processes.
  • Asset Protection Management - Preventing financial loss, theft, and fraud within a company.
  • Policy Design and Development - The process of creating and formalizing policies and procedures to guide an organization's practices and ensure compliance with standards and regulations.
  • Threat Monitoring - The process of systematically observing, analyzing and assessing potential risks, vulnerabilities and malicious activities within a system, network or physical environment in order to identify and respond to potential threats and then maintain the integrity and security of the targeted entity.
  • Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Management - The systematic approach to maintain health and safety at occupation and protect the environment.
  • Business Continuity Planning - Develop internal infrastructure to ensure organizational resilience and maintenance of the availability, stability and integrity of critical systems, processes and stakeholders that support and drive key aspects of the business. This includes the planning, designing and testing contingency plans and setting up of internal systems and structures which are ready to respond to potential threats and maintain desired levels of continuity.
  • Physical Security Management - Implements, improves and maintains the protection of people, property and physical assets of an organization.
  • Case Management and Investigation - The process an organization uses to handle, route, resolve, and report on conflicts or issues.
  • Must be able to lift or drag items weighing 50–100 pounds across a distance of 5 yards.
  • Must be able to sit or stand continuously while maintaining alertness and situational awareness for extended durations.
  • Must be able to perform duties effectively in wet conditions, high noise levels, environmental hazards, sudden temperature changes, and varying atmospheric conditions.
  • Must be able to navigate various terrains, climb stairs, and move quickly to respond to incidents.
  • Must successfully complete and pass all required physical assessments, post offer.
  • Valid California driver license is required. Must possess a safe driving record including no chargeable accidents or violations over the last three (3) years.

Nice To Haves

  • EMT or intermediate/advanced emergency medical certifications is preferred.
  • Member of the Department of Homeland Security- Trusted Traveler Program with a Sentri, Global card, or Nexus active membership is preferred; with the ability to obtain one of the memberships if hired.
  • Retired Law Enforcement Officer under 18 USC 926B & 926C, LEOSA HR-218, or the ability to obtain a California CCW within six months of hire.
  • California issued (BSIS) Guard permit and Firearm Expose Carry permit, or the ability to obtain both cards within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Identifies efficiencies and resolves system problems to ensure compliance with applicable industry standards.
  • Aligns physical security initiatives with cybersecurity protocols to support integrated, enterprise-wide protection strategies.
  • Conducts ongoing functionality testing of technical security systems to ensure proper coverage and operation.
  • Deploys physical security infrastructure, including barriers and centralized monitoring systems, to enhance facility protection and situational awareness.
  • Participates in security audits and inspections to ensure compliance with internal and regulatory security standards.
  • Monitors and reports unauthorized attempts to enter secure facilities to site contacts for action and timely response.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
