To assist the OR, Labor & Delivery Nursing Units, ER, Clinics and various other departments by processing and maintaining supplies and equipment (both sterile and unsterile) required for the care, diagnosis and treatment of the patient. To demonstrate a clear understanding of Central Service theory in such areas as medical terminology, cleaning, isolation and the ability to adapt the knowledge to Sterile Processing. Is responsible for reporting identified safety issues such as hazardous environments (i.e. damaged floors/walls/ceiling tiles/unsecured areas) and medical errors, etc.
