About The Position

As a Part-Time Spanish Teacher at Merryhill School, you will introduce students to the fundamentals of the Spanish language while cultivating curiosity, cultural awareness, and foundational communication skills. Your classroom will be an encouraging, interactive environment where students learn through conversation, storytelling, games, and meaningful cultural exploration. This role typically requires ~4 hours per day, totaling 20 hours per week.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Spanish, Education, or a related field from an accredited institution
• Native or near-native Spanish proficiency
• Strong interpersonal and classroom management skills
• Ability to pass state and federal background checks
• Enthusiasm for languages, culture, and inspiring young learners

Nice To Haves

• Teaching credential or certification in world language instruction preferred
• Prior teaching experience, particularly in elementary or middle school, is a plus
