About The Position

Christian Montessori School of Ann Arbor is seeking a warm, engaging, and reliable Spanish Enrichment Teacher to provide weekly Spanish language and cultural instruction to students in a Montessori environment. Position Overview This is a part-time, school-year position focused on introducing and enriching students’ understanding of the Spanish language and culture through engaging, age-appropriate lessons. The teacher will work with three primary age groups: Ages 1.5–3: Exposure through simple songs, repetition, and visual supports such as pictures Ages 3–6: Introduction of common vocabulary and conversational words Ages 6–9: Development of simple sentences, structure, and foundational grammar Schedule Mondays: 8:30 AM – 11:30 AM (on campus instructional time) 1 additional hour per week for lesson planning and preparation (may be completed on-site or off-site) Total: 4 hours per week Compensation $25.00 per hour

Requirements

Experience teaching Spanish to children preferred
Strong communication and classroom management skills
Ability to engage students through interactive and hands-on learning
Appreciation for or willingness to learn about Montessori philosophy
Reliability and consistency in attendance

Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging Spanish lessons for students across multiple age groups
Incorporate music, movement, conversation, and cultural elements into instruction
Adapt lessons to be developmentally appropriate and aligned with Montessori principles
Maintain a positive, respectful, and encouraging classroom presence
Collaborate with classroom teachers and administration as needed
Prepare materials and lesson plans for weekly instruction
