About The Position

The Marketing Manager at Exxel Outdoors is responsible for overseeing the organization's marketing activities and developing a fully integrated marketing strategy across all brands. This role focuses on expanding brand awareness in the outdoor marketplace and ensuring consistent brand representation across various media and marketing channels. The ideal candidate is an outdoor enthusiast with strong organizational skills and a minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a marketing management role.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in marketing management.
  • Experience working closely with senior management and in a team environment.
  • Broad range of marketing experience with in-depth knowledge of marketing elements.
  • Solid creative judgment and excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Knowledge of SEO, copywriting, video/studio production, and social media.
  • Demonstrated leadership, drive, confidence, and risk-taking ability.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, Google Analytics, and Graphic Design Suite (Adobe, etc.).
  • Understanding of and experience with camping, backpacking, and hiking.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in guerrilla marketing and cause marketing.
  • Familiarity with retail packaging and displays.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the creation of the annual marketing plan and manage its execution, including the yearly marketing budget.
  • Conduct regular market research to track competitive branding and content trends.
  • Develop and support key online and retail marketing relationships.
  • Generate annual product/sales collateral for sales meetings and trade shows.
  • Develop brand assets for effective consumer communication.
  • Collaborate with product and sales teams to develop marketing assets.
  • Create PR strategies and manage PR agency relationships.
  • Manage consumer events and trade show logistics.
  • Oversee online content management, including photoshoots and video production.
  • Develop a social media calendar aligned with product promotions.
  • Direct the daily tasks of the Content & Marketing Coordinator.
