About The Position

The Spa at Promontory is seeking a professional, dependable, and detail-oriented Spa Receptionist & Attendant to join our team. This hybrid role is essential to ensuring the seamless operation of our luxury Spa by providing exceptional guest service, maintaining pristine locker room and hydrotherapy facilities, coordinating daily operations, and supporting both front- and back-of-house teams. This position requires someone who can balance administrative responsibilities with hands-on service, ensuring every detail contributes to a smooth and elevated spa experience. The ideal candidate is organized, calm under pressure, and passionate about creating exceptional spa experiences. You must be able to multitask in a fast-paced, luxury environment while maintaining grace under pressure with a genuine sense of hospitality.

Requirements

  • Excellent time management and multitasking abilities
  • Strong communication and customer service skills; friendly, professional, and confident demeanor
  • Previous experience in hospitality, spa, or housekeeping strongly preferred
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and team-focused with strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to maintain composure and positivity under pressure while contributing to a quality work environment
  • Punctual, reliable, and flexible with scheduling, including weekends and holidays
  • Must be at least 18 year old and able to lift 30 lbs or more
  • Able to stand, bend, and perform physical tasks for extended periods
  • Must attend mandatory trainings and assist during spa events
  • Consistent attention to detail, delivering The Promontory Experience in every interaction
  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred; must be able to pass a pre-employment background check.
  • Two (2) years related experience in a high-profile customer service position; must have excellent customer service and communication skills; basic computer skills and competency in the following, Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Requires extensive use of hands, physical dexterity, and small object manipulation; must be able to stand and sit for long periods of time; must be able to work with arms at shoulder level for extended periods of time; must be willing to work various hours, nights, holidays and weekends when needed.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Warmly greet and welcome members and guests upon arrival
  • Manage the spa schedule, confirm appointments via phone and email, and communicate efficiently with patrons and staff members
  • Handle payments, transactions and inquiries with professionalism
  • Provide clear, friendly, and timely communication regarding member needs
  • Assist members with retail products and spa menu offerings
  • Maintain the front desk, retail area, locker rooms, hydrotherapy spaces, and relaxation areas in a clean, organized, and fully stoked condition
  • Submit and track work orders as needed
  • Assist with product inventory, orders, and organization and placement of deliveries
  • Communicate calmly and effectively with team members regarding operations and scheduling
  • Support special events and other duties assigned by spa leadership
  • Assist in the development and organization of office operations and procedures
  • Help train and onboard new team members as needed
  • Guide members through locker room orientation, providing robes, sandals, and amenities
  • Offer knowledgeable guidance on hydrotherapy areas, including the sauna, steam room, infrared sauna, cold pool, and hot tub
  • Anticipate member needs and respond promptly with professionalism and discretion
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of all spa spaces, ensuring all amenities are fully stocked
  • Report maintenance issues, broken equipment, or safety concerns promptly
  • Complete daily checklists and uphold all housekeeping and safety standards
