Position Summary: The Spa Manager oversees the daily operations of the spa, ensuring exceptional guest experiences in line with Forbes 5-Star standards. This role is directly over the Spa Concierge and Spa Attendant teams, providing leadership, training, and operational support to maintain the highest level of service, cleanliness, and efficiency. The Spa Manager acts as the manager-on-duty in the absence of the Assistant Director and Corporate Director. The Spa Manager will assist with administrative, operational, and guest service responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Previous spa or luxury hospitality experience preferred.
  • Must have great communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong leadership, communication, multi-tasking, and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail and ability to maintain composure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexible availability, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
  • Able to stand and walk up to 8 hours per day.
  • Able to lift and carry up to 20 pounds.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred but not required, professional spa license and experience in the treatment rooms.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and engage guests with warmth and professionalism, ensuring every interaction reflects Forbes 5-Star service standards.
  • Handle and resolve guest concerns promptly and effectively.
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of spa treatments, services, and amenities to provide accurate and personalized recommendations.
  • Oversee daily performance of Spa Concierge and Spa Attendant teams.
  • Oversees training and role of the Spa Supervisor.
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and training to ensure consistent, high-quality service.
  • Create and monitor staff schedules, attendance, and task completion.
  • Oversee and generate onboarding and development of new team members.
  • Assign daily tasks and projects to the team.
  • Provide immediate feedback and corrective guidance when Forbes standards are not met.
  • Directly train the team on their role, product knowledge and Forbes service standards.
  • Administer daily round up when spa supervisor is off, and complete worksheet with concierge team.
  • Assist in managing the daily spa schedule, ensuring smooth flow between guest arrivals, treatments, and amenities.
  • Policy and protocol refinement and implementation.
  • Review future schedules to confirm appointments are booked accurately and appropriately.
  • Help balance treatment schedules for spa technicians.
  • Maintain spa facilities in pristine condition, coordinating with Spa Attendants, Housekeeping, and Engineering as needed.
  • Monitor inventory of supplies and amenities, ordering or notifying the Director when replenishment is required.
  • Ensure retail shelves remain fully stocked and nicely presented.
  • Testers are clean with appropriate ways to sample the item.
  • Ensure all gym equipment is in working order and all weights are accounted for, and other equipment is in good condition.
  • Enforce spa policies, procedures, and safety protocols consistently across the team.
  • Complete shift reports and communicate relevant information to management.
  • Sticker and receive all new retail products.
  • Complete and send in the monthly inventory counts and accuracy of tracking.
  • Track and report on operational concerns, guest feedback, and maintenance issues.
  • Serve as acting Spa Manager when the Assistant Director and Director is off property.
  • Carry out additional daily responsibilities as assigned by Spa Management.
