About The Position

This role will be located at one of Discovery Land Company’s locations: Troubadour Golf & Field Club set outside of Nashville, Tennessee. Troubadour Golf & Field Club is seeking a Spa Attendant to join the Wellness Department. The Spa Attendant will be key contributor to creating an warm environment in our Spa and Wellness Facilities. The Spa Attendant will welcome members and guest to the Spa and assist them with the transition of their services, informing them of products and services available. The Spa Attendant will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the Spa and Wellness areas, and help with general Spa operations. In this role, you will be part of creating the Discovery Land Company experience for our members and fellow employees. Full-time hourly role. Starting pay is $18 per hour.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task and works well independently.
  • Outstanding people skills and a warm, friendly personality.
  • Knowledge and understanding of all spa services and operations.
  • Has a positive attitude, professional demeanor, and exceptional communication skills to deliver service to members, guests, and team members.
  • Must be able to work flexible work hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Long hours may be required due to business demands.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to stay calm and focused during the busiest of times.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English; additional languages preferred.
  • Provide a memorable and 5-star experience to all members and their guests.
  • Adhere to uniform and appearance standards.
  • Maintain safety, sanitation, and disinfecting standards in compliance with, or exceeding, state and OSHA requirements, DLC SOPs, and guidelines.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including, but not limited to, working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, standing, walking, and moving for periods of greater than eight (8) hours, and lifting and carrying items sometimes greater than fifty (50) pounds.

  • Additional degrees and certifications preferred.
  • Prior experience in luxury resorts, spas, or private clubs, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Greet members with a warm, friendly, and sincere welcome upon arrival.
  • Actively promote and educate our members about our wellness programs, spa treatments, personal training, group classes, retail, and available promotions.
  • Provide excellent and anticipatory service to our members.
  • Listen and address member requests and respond with appropriate action.
  • Demonstrate the highest levels of respect, sensitivity, and concern for members needs and issues in a professional and pleasant manner.
  • Maintain member and guest confidentiality.
  • Greet members and escort them through a tour of the spa facility.
  • Assist with daily set up of spa operations.
  • Have excellent knowledge of our spa treatment menu and retail products.
  • Assist members with booking spa services and retail sales.
  • Assist therapists with treatment room turnover.
  • Ensure all facets of the spa are in working order.
  • Responsible for obtaining retail and back bar inventory levels.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly spa facility.
  • Complete all opening and closing procedures thoroughly and properly.
  • Communicate with the Spa Manager about daily operations and guest related issues.
  • Assist with daily set up of fitness operations.
  • Ensure all fitness equipment is in working order.
  • Communicate any maintenance/general cleanliness issues, and low inventory to the Fitness Manager.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly fitness facility.
  • Complete all opening and closing procedures thoroughly and properly.
  • Responsible for setting up equipment in movement studio for each class.
  • Responsible for picking up and returning loose equipment to designated area throughout the day.
  • Assist Personal Trainers with scheduling and member needs.
  • Assist with pool operations including opening and closing procedures.
  • Communicate with the Fitness Manager about daily operations and guest related issues.
