Summary of Position The Spa Attendant requires an individual who is energetic, and service oriented with an affinity for order and cleanliness. Their purpose is to guide the guest through their spa experience while ensuring all service and facility standards are met. This person must be experienced in dealing with the public, enthusiastic, friendly, and accommodating.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous spa or health club experience preferred.
  • Minimum of one year experience in customer service

Responsibilities

  • Welcoming guests and showing them to their lockers.
  • Anticipate guest needs and efficiently handle all guest requests.
  • Issues locker keys and towels and monitors the return of those items.
  • Assist with the cleanliness and organization of locker rooms and issue desk.
  • Ensuring an adequate supply of clean towels, robes and guest-wear are available.
  • Maintain a clean, neat, and organized issue desk by wiping counters, keeping counters clutter-free and organizing drawers and cabinets.
  • Assisting with removing used linen and restocking linen.
  • Welcome guests to locker rooms.
  • Maintain any “lost and found” items & bring lost articles to the front desk/security
  • Guides guests through dressing room areas, wet lounges and relaxation lounges
  • Ensures policies and procedures are done to Spa Montage standards within a Spa Attendant presentation of amenities
  • Provides accurate information regarding all areas of the Spa/Hotel with a helpful, friendly and courteous manner.
  • Assists with the cleanliness and organization of the dressing rooms, relaxation lounges and wet areas.
  • Maintain par stock levels of towels washcloths, robes and linens.
  • Maintain toiletries in the vanity area.
  • Maintain shampoo, conditioner and shower gel in the showers.
  • Coordinate daily locker room inventory of towels, washcloths, and robes with management
  • Clean lockers upon guest’s arrival and departure.
  • Coordinate laundry pickup and delivery
  • Maintain stock levels of supplies according to purchase order system.
  • Direct guests to appointments.
  • Ability to recommend treatments/classes to guests.
  • Communicate any guest problems/complaints to MOD
  • Maintain cleanliness of sauna and steam room and place designated oils in sauna and steam room according to procedures.
  • Special projects assigned.
  • Attend meeting scheduled by supervisor.
  • Adheres to hotel policies and procedures.
  • Professional image through dress, posture, poise
  • Ability to deal with people in a courteous manner in demanding situations.
  • Ability to maintain cleanliness
  • Ability to solve problems using common sense and good judgment
  • Providing quality service during peak hours
  • Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
  • Must be able to read and write to facilitate the communication process.
  • Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Must possess basic computer skills.
  • Ability to solve problems and make rational decisions.
  • Knowledge of Maybourne Resort and Spa operations.
