About The Position

Lead and grow our Southern California Program & Construction Management practice, overseeing a $18M annual portfolio across transportation, public works, and water/wastewater projects for public agency clients. This is a key leadership role for someone who can develop people, strengthen client trust, drive delivery excellence, and help expand Psomas' presence in the region. You'll lead a successful Southern California program/construction management practice with responsibility for people, delivery, client relationships, and business performance. You'll set the tone for accountability and culture, help teams perform at a high level, and partner across Psomas to deliver strong results for clients and communities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field
  • 10+ years of experience in project and construction management overseeing complex projects in Southern California
  • Proven ability to lead teams, manage multiple projects, and build trusted client relationships
  • Demonstrated success leading client pursuits, including proposal development and interview presentations
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams

Responsibilities

  • Build, mentor, and retain a high-performing construction management team. Set clear expectations, coach project and construction managers, and foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and growth.
  • Oversee delivery across transportation, public works, and water/wastewater projects, ensuring strong performance in scope, schedule, budget, quality, and safety while helping teams remove roadblocks and stay aligned.
  • Strengthen trusted relationships with Southern California public agencies. Lead pursuits, including proposals and interviews, expand key accounts, and represent Psomas in the market.
  • Guide performance for a ~$20M annual portfolio, including staffing, forecasting, budgets, and profitability. Make thoughtful, timely decisions that support both client success and business results.
  • Partner with design and technical teams to deliver integrated solutions, improve how we work, and identify opportunities to grow services across Southern California.
