This role is responsible for food preparation, menu execution, catering production, and supervising kitchen staff while maintaining high standards for quality, food safety, and cost control. The ideal candidate is a hands-on culinary professional with experience in high-volume foodservice and a collaborative, energetic approach.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree in Culinary Arts or equivalent professional experience
  • Progressive kitchen or culinary leadership experience
  • Catering experience preferred
  • Experience in high-volume, complex foodservice environments
  • Institutional or batch cooking experience a plus
  • Strong knowledge of culinary trends, food quality, production standards, sanitation, and cost controls
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook, and email
  • ServSafe certification strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Support the Executive Chef in daily kitchen operations and staff supervision
  • Assist with menu planning, recipe development, and food presentation
  • Prepare and execute daily meals and catering events
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and quality standards
  • Help manage food costs, inventory, and ordering
  • Support the rollout of new culinary programs in partnership with company culinary and marketing teams
  • Participate in client satisfaction initiatives and campus events
