Requirements

• Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a senior living, healthcare, or hospitality setting
• Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and nutrition standards
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
• Creativity in menu planning and presentation
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed

Nice To Haves

• Culinary degree or equivalent certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist the Executive Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, presentation, and quality control
• Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to safety and sanitation standards
• Develop and implement menus that meet nutritional guidelines and cater to residents' dietary needs
• Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage food costs to maintain budgetary goals
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation procedures
• Train and mentor kitchen staff to uphold high standards of culinary excellence and teamwork
• Collaborate with the culinary team to create innovative and appealing meal options for residents
