About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Sous Chef to support our culinary team in a retirement community setting. This role assists with daily kitchen operations while ensuring high-quality meals that meet residents’ dietary needs.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of culinary experience (senior living, healthcare, or hospitality preferred)
  • Knowledge of special and therapeutic diets (diabetic, low-sodium, texture-modified, etc.)
  • Supervisory experience leading and training kitchen staff
  • Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation standards

Responsibilities

  • Assist with daily food production and kitchen operations
  • Supervise and support kitchen staff
  • Ensure meals meet quality and dietary guidelines
  • Maintain cleanliness and compliance with health regulations
  • Support the Executive Chef as needed
