About The Position

As a Sous Chef II, you play a key leadership role in the success of a high-volume corporate dining program in Merrimack, NH, partnering closely with culinary leadership to deliver an elevated guest experience every day. You help drive the performance of the food program while overseeing day-to-day culinary operations in a dynamic, service-driven environment. This role is hands-on and fast-paced, supporting all aspects of catering, menu execution, planning, ordering, inventory management, and food production, while ensuring strict alignment with the client’s culture, company standards, and Health Department regulations. A strong focus on quality, freshness, and presentation is essential. Additionally, you will motivate, train, and develop back-of-house associates while leading by example. You will prepare and execute food with precision and pride, ensuring the operation consistently exceeds expectations for guests, clients, and leadership.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of related culinary experience, including 1 year at the supervisory or lead level.
  • Experience in restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, country clubs, fine dining, and/or related food service operations.
  • Knowledge of food and industry trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, safety, food cost controls, and presentation.
  • Ability to set up and distribute production sheets.
  • Supervisory, leadership, training, management, and coaching skills.
  • Computer skills and knowledge of MS Office products, including Excel.
  • Local to Merrimack, NH.

Nice To Haves

  • ServSafe or Department of Health Certification is preferred.
  • An associate’s degree in Culinary Arts is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assists in coordinating and participating in the preparation and cooking of various food items.
  • Assists with planning and creating menus.
  • Support catering events.
  • Rolls out new culinary programs in conjunction with the marketing and culinary team.
  • Assists with managing cost controls and controlling expenditure.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
