Requirements

  • High School Diploma and Culinary Arts training required
  • Serv Safe Certification required
  • At least 3 years of relevant culinary and supervisory experience, with a focus on catering or event food service preferably within a retirement community or hospital
  • Strong customer service orientation and communication skills
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen

Nice To Haves

  • Culinary Arts degree or ACF certification preferred
  • HACCP training preferred

Responsibilities

  • Planning and preparing meals for catered events alongside the Executive Chef and Dining Director
  • Leading catering staff in food production, presentation, and service
  • Ensuring compliance with HACCP and sanitation standards
  • Maintaining food quality, inventory control, and proper storage practices
  • Managing supplies and equipment efficiently to reduce waste and loss
  • Maintaining cleanliness and safety in the kitchen and event spaces
  • Collaborating with other departments to coordinate event logistics
