About The Position

As a Senior Sourcing & Procurement Specialist at Advance Displays, you will own the purchasing, inventory planning, and sourcing functions that ensure our customers receive the right products at the right time—while maintaining strong margins and reliable supply. You will manage purchasing across existing vendors, including determining stocking strategies (stock vs. order-as-needed), setting par levels and reorder points, and ensuring inventory availability aligns with customer demand. You will proactively monitor backorders and sales activity, identifying non-stock items requiring action and ensuring timely procurement. In this role, you will take ownership of product and vendor data within our ERP system, including setting up new parts, maintaining accurate costs and pricing, and ensuring data integrity across purchasing and sales processes. Beyond day-to-day purchasing, you will lead sourcing efforts to identify new suppliers and replacement products. This includes establishing reseller relationships, negotiating pricing and terms, sourcing from domestic and international manufacturers, and working from drawings, specifications, or physical samples to identify viable supply options. You will operate with a high degree of independence—identifying what information is needed, proactively seeking it out, and executing without requiring step-by-step direction. Your work will directly impact product availability, vendor performance, and overall company profitability.

Requirements

• You are highly analytical and comfortable making purchasing and sourcing decisions based on data
• You are experienced in vendor communication, negotiation, and relationship management
• You are detail-oriented and understand the importance of accurate product, cost, and inventory data
• You are proactive in identifying supply risks, backorders, and sourcing challenges—and solving them
• You are comfortable working in ERP systems (Fishbowl or similar), spreadsheets, and reporting tools
• You can manage multiple priorities including purchasing, sourcing, inventory planning, and vendor coordination
• You are resourceful and persistent when sourcing new products, whether from known vendors, new suppliers, or custom manufacturing sources
• You thrive in a fast-paced, operational environment where responsiveness and accuracy matter
• 5+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, sourcing, or supply chain roles
• Proven experience managing vendors and negotiating pricing and terms
• Experience with inventory planning, including reorder points, stocking strategies, and demand alignment
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret purchasing and inventory data
• Experience working in ERP or inventory management systems (Fishbowl or similar)
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities with minimal supervision
• Strong communication skills with both internal teams and external suppliers

Nice To Haves

• Experience sourcing products from domestic and/or international manufacturers
• Experience working from product drawings, specifications, or physical samples to source items
• Background in distribution, retail fixtures, manufacturing, or supply chain environments
• Experience setting up new vendors, SKUs, and pricing structures
• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, or related field
