You are: A Sourcing and Procurement professional with Resins or Plastics experience who helps clients develop strategies and operating models to advance procurement capabilities and drive bottom-line financial impact. You use your data skills to develop and implement strategies that improve the value and performance delivered by clients’ supply base, while establishing strategic procurement category plans and processes to sustain long-term value. You also have the communication skills to make sure that everyone understands your ideas and how to get them working as quickly as possible. Consultants provide the foundation for all these client-facing activities, with direction from the firm’s experienced leadership. You will play a critical role in building and providing analyses and recommendations that will be the basis for key client decision making relative to their energy strategies and procurement.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience executing Strategic Sourcing projects/programs
  • Minimum 1 year of experience working in the Consulting or Resins & Plastics fields.
  • A bachelor’s degree in engineering, chemistry, business, or a related field.

Nice To Haves

  • You have deep category and procurement expertise in one or more type of resin (i.e., Polyethylene, Polystyrene, PET, etc.) or plastics manufacturing (i.e., blow molding, thermoforming, etc.)
  • You have a strong understanding of resin and feedstock markets, including but not limited to: should-costing, tariff mitigation, spot vs contract buying, etc.
  • You are comfortable in an entrepreneurial, performance-driven environment and a capacity for innovation and process improvement
  • You have demonstrated abilities in problem solving and independent decision-making capabilities.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), including the ability to develop and interpret complex models and ad-hoc reports.
  • Ability to effectively take on multiple projects, tasks, and initiatives simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail.

  • Creating robust sourcing strategies and recommendations
  • Driving category insights, analysis and benchmarking
  • Synthesizing disparate data sources into insights and clear deliverables
  • Working with clients to identify and interpret key project requirements
  • Nurturing relationships with client stakeholders
  • Facilitating development of project plans and overall project management to ensure effective delivery of client project work and client deliverables
  • Developing presentations and key deliverables to support decision making
  • Conducting negotiations with suppliers and driving results through creative negotiation strategies
  • Communicating findings and recommendations to internal teams and client stakeholders
  • Achieving excellence and dependability through the execution of projects and initiatives
  • Supporting Accenture’s Plastics Center of Excellence by creating deliverable content (case studies, whitepapers, etc.) and documenting Plastics category knowledge to support internal knowledge share and broader firm business development / sales opportunities
