You are: A Supply Chain and Operations professional who helps clients develop strategies and operating models that integrate planning, procurement, product design, manufacturing, and/or fulfillment functions within an organization, as well as connect suppliers and customers across the extended supply chains. You use your data skills to develop and implement strategies that improve the entire supply chain process by applying cost efficiency, increasing business effectiveness, and creating synergies and collaboration across companies. As a Senior Manager, you will be responsible for running all aspects of client cost optimization or process optimization projects, including project and people management, client and supplier communications, supplier negotiations, and delivery of project results. You will also actively lead and mentor our consultant and analyst resources

Requirements

  • 10+ years relevant professional experience (procurement and strategic sourcing)
  • A bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field.
  • Travel may be required for this role. The amount of travel will vary from 0 to 100% depending on business need and client requirements.
  • Applicants for employment in the US must have work authorization that does not now or in the future require sponsorship of a visa for employment authorization in the United States.

Nice To Haves

  • You have the proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
  • Management consulting experience with a well-regarded firm (strongly preferred)
  • You excel in building and developing relationships, overseeing complex programs, and demonstrating leadership
  • You have earned an MBA or equivalent graduate degree
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written), including the ability to present comfortably to senior executives
  • Strong work ethic and high level of integrity
  • An interest and passion for supporting the development of junior team members
  • Prior experience in driving insights using visualization tools (i.e., Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx) and analytics tools (i.e., Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics)
  • Ability to effectively plan and manage multiple projects, tasks, and/or initiatives simultaneously
  • Demonstrated project management and management consulting skills
  • Strong analytical skills including the ability to manage resources performing complex analytics to develop client decision support data

Responsibilities

  • Develop overall project plans and lead all parts of the client engagement
  • Manage project support resources and coordinate with subject matter experts from within and outside the firm
  • Develop creative client strategies and recommendations
  • Present updates and recommendations to client executives
  • Build consensus among client stakeholders
  • Develop and nurture relationships with clients
  • Support in developing internal strategies, intellectual capital, and deliverables
  • Support client sales origination
  • Strategic sourcing (both within companies and across private equity portfolios)

  • Spend analysis and savings opportunity diagnostic
  • Pre-purchase due diligence
  • Make vs. buy decision analysis
