The Sourcing Manager will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of strategies and goals for assigned commodities, aligning with overall divisional business objectives. This role involves formulating and implementing processes to establish a best-in-class strategic sourcing organization. The manager will lead cross-functional teams to create strategic commodity plans, consolidation strategies, and conduct spend/supply assessments, considering total product life cycle needs. Key responsibilities include leading sourcing analysis, selection processes, cost analyses, and make-vs-buy analyses. The Sourcing Manager will also be instrumental in developing contract strategies, negotiating, establishing, monitoring, and enforcing supplier contracts and agreements. Building strong partnership relationships with key suppliers and senior executive leadership at strategic suppliers is crucial. The role also involves identifying supply base risks, developing mitigation plans (including market assessments, supplier financial assessments, social responsibility, environment, and ethics), and communicating market condition information and technology trends. Utilizing market trends to implement cost controls and business strategy changes, and collaborating across functions, divisions, and campuses to develop sourcing strategies and manage supplier scorecards and business reviews are also part of the position.
