About The Position

The Sourcing Manager executes strategic sourcing and value creation initiatives based on opportunities identified by the Director and / or the Category Managers and optimize productivity, savings & working capital for their categories. They work with cross-functional teams to implement Director / Category Manager category plan and negotiate contracts with BFS suppliers to support BFS business growth and profitability. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Project & Stakeholder Management Reviews the list of opportunities (book of work or sourcing plan) identified by the Director or the Category Manager, (or with the Senior Sourcing Manager if relevant) to prioritize them. Identifies stakeholders to be involved in the projects listed in Director / Category Manager sourcing plan / book of work and prepares project planningMonitors with the Director, the Category Manager, or the Senior Sourcing manager project progresses, timelines, alignment with category strategy, and risks, and prepare remedial action plans if needed. Collaborates with business stakeholders to define requirements, specifications, and selection criteria for RFx preparation. Adjusts sourcing project scope and activities as needed, ensuring alignment with business and Field needs or priorities. Sourcing Strategy & Execution Defines appropriate sourcing strategies for each project based on spend analysis, market trends, potential vendors, and BFS market positioning. Prepares and launches RFx projects, analyzes supplier proposals, conducts negotiations, and manages contract/MSA execution. Leads supplier negotiations on pricing, terms, flow of goods, returns, rebates, volume allowances, and promotional funding, ensuring cost efficiency and value creation. Involves whenever needed the Director, the Category Managers, or the Senior Sourcing Manager in critical or sensitives supplier negotiations to fully achieve Category Strategy objectives. Oversees the execution of value creation projects, including supplier development, innovation, and supply chain optimization. Contract & Procurement Implementation Ensures contracts are properly implemented in systems, with the FCS P2P tower team, and within business operations and that price, rebate accruals, and supplier agreements are updated in timely manner in procurement systems. Measures contract utilization, identifies improvement areas, and works with the Director or the Category Manager (involving a Senior Sourcing Manager if relevant), the FCS P2P tower team, and the Field to optimize compliance. Participates to periodical supply planning meeting to understand supply recommendations and address any sourcing requirement decided through these meetings. Performance Tracking & Communication Can be involved in suppliers issue resolution regarding pricing, quality, and service-related issues. In that case, works closely with suppliers to identify the best solution or outcome for BFS in line with the Director / Category Manager / Senior Sourcing Manager directions. Reviews sourcing KPIs, track fiscal year targets, and propose corrective actions as needed. Ensures clear, concise, and timely communication with internal and external stakeholders regarding sourcing activities. Process Compliance & Improvement Ensures procurement activities comply with contracts, market share allocations, and volume discount agreements. Maintains accurate sourcing records, including purchase agreements, cost changes, and supplier communications. Identifies with CoE Global Process owners and Director / Category manager or a Senior Sourcing Manager process improvements to enhance sourcing efficiency and turn-around time. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES The role will be an individual contributor and have no supervisory responsibilities. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain or a related field; 5-10 years purchasing and negotiation experience or equivalent combination of education and experience; Special knowledge required: SAP/S4 experience, building materials products and distribution methods.
