About The Position

Position is responsible for executing and maturing our suppliers through lean applications and roadmaps to improve GE’s supply chain. Role is focused on driving change throughout the wing to wing supply base to improve Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost at suppliers. Position will drive supplier process and systemic quality improvements using Lean and Six Sigma tools to improve delivery and quality. Individual will be required to work with Suppliers, Procurement, Component Engineering and Operations to establish strategic and comprehensive OTD, Quality and sourcing initiatives, which are aligned to the business and meet customer expectations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in quality, mechanical, electrical, industrial, operations or other equivalent disciplines.
  • Significant experience in Quality/Materials/Operations Experience across plants or business units.
  • Evidence of knowledge of the Quality Sciences -APQP, Problem solving, sampling, statistical analysis, root cause analysis, PDCA.
  • Some previous leadership experience in management, supervision or project/program leadership.
  • Proven lean experience required: Driving transformation and leading Kaizen events Lean tool set (VSM, Problem Solving, A3 Thinking, Gauge R&R, SMED
  • Knowledge of Industry specific quality registration (ISO9001:2008 & ISO9001:2015)
  • Ability to effectively communicate at all levels within the company
  • Ability to work cross-functionally
  • Speaks English as primary/secondary language
  • Developing quality/process expertise within a commodity/s
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, Word
  • Ability to travel up to 60%

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to read engineering prints and drawings.
  • Masters in Engineering, Supply Chain Management or Business Administration is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provides Supplier with technical expertise in areas such as Process Development, Capacity Planning, Inventory Requirements and Management to meet GE demand and supplier needs.
  • Drives Value Stream Analysis and Kaizens with key suppliers to enable strategic goals for GE and the supply base.
  • Drives process and systemic quality improvements, at assigned supplier sites, through the use of lean and quality tools and validates improvements through defined measurables to reduce defects and improve OTD.
  • Works in conjunction with Plant Quality and Suppliers in problem solving - leading cross-functional teams on major issues resolution at Supplier locations.
  • Performs analysis (Commodity, Quality Systems, DPPM, DMR) to determine trends along with proposed actions to drive performance improvement.
  • Supports training of internal staff along with other functions on Supplier Lean governance strategy, policy, procedures and work instructions.
  • Prepares, distributes and communicates periodic Supplier performance status and risk assessments.
  • Works to actively deploy GE’s defined Supplier Development Procedures, Processes and work instructions within the region.
  • Supports process and procedures review along with continuous improvement actions.

  • For US based candidates only: The base pay range for this position is $149,400.00 - 248,900.00 USD Annual
  • This position is also eligible for a 15%performance bonus/variable incentive compensation/equity.
