About The Position

This position supports negotiations and monitors compliance for system-wide product and service-related information through analysis of product and contract utilization and data to formulate recommendations. The Analyst will interact with national Group Purchasing Organization (GPOs) and/or manufacturers to resolve contract-related issues; work with various sources to obtain product information; and investigate potential contracting opportunities as directed. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to analyze and comprehend large amounts of data, create basic to complex reports, charts, and graphs from various sources of healthcare information and effectively facilitate discussions with decision-making bodies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and one (1) year of sourcing, procurement, or supply chain analysis experience.
  • Skill in the use of computers and related software applications.
  • Verbal and written communication skills.
  • Skill in interacting diplomatically with persons of various educational, social, and cultural backgrounds.
  • Analytical, technical, troubleshooting, and problem resolution skills.
  • Project management skills.
  • Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective collaborative working relationships.
  • Ability to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to identify and implement measures to improve process flow.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of clinical operations is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Analyze data related to system-wide proposals and contracts.
  • Assist in tracking system-wide supply chain savings and the progress of supply chain initiatives, GPO contracts and/or value analysis committees.
  • Creates ad hoc queries and reports or provides quantitative data to meet data needs of the business unit or department.
  • Interact with professional associations, vendors, supplier, other facilities, and internal stakeholders.
  • Compile information, prepare and distribute reports, contract proposal and utilization analyses.
  • Design, analyze and share results of information surveys and contract proposals as assigned.
  • Evaluate results, prepare and present cost analyses, and make recommendations.
  • Ability to pull, transfer, arrange and utilize data from available information systems.
  • Maintain working knowledge of ERP system, third party market intelligence, and distribute to stakeholders.
  • Apply and enforce procurement practices in accordance with established purchasing guidelines.
  • Monitors vendor performance objectives.
  • Develop and maintain price management analysis tools and reports.
  • Able to use database tools to analyze and identify price management initiatives.
  • Interact with to utilize available analytical tools and data in support of price management initiatives.
  • Responsible for assisting category manager in developing price management strategy.
  • All other duties or assignments as directed.
