About The Position

The Sourcing Analyst III is responsible for making strategic sourcing and material risk management decisions based upon the determination of true market value for the Company's materials and services via a variety of sourcing tools. Ensure the timely implementation of global sourcing decisions by various operating Divisions. This position will serve our US Air Division, located in Fort Smith, AR. Perform in a leadership role for the discovery and implementation of state of the art global sourcing and risk management techniques in order to drive competitive advantage for the Company. Work closely with Division operations, engineering, and materials management personnel to implement global sourcing and risk management solutions that support overall company objectives. Manage relationships with key supplier senior management to ensure sourcing decisions and supplier performance are managed for the best interest of the Company. Develop written supply contracts with direct material suppliers and risk management providers to document commercial, service, and legal performance commitments. Develop, prepare, and present data analysis to senior corporate staff documenting global commodity strategies, competitive supply chain position, and supply base analysis information. Present data analysis to senior Company and Division staff documenting global risk management strategies, current market data and competitive market data. Actively solicit information from Division senior managers regarding new technology requirements, service level requirements and well as competitive cost pressures in order to determine appropriate company level material sourcing and risk management strategies. Provide direct supervision over sourcing staff. Provide performance feedback, coaching and mentoring. Serve as a role model, mentor, and leader to both direct reports, as well as others within the strategic sourcing organization. Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent job experience.
  • 5+ years' experience in procurement, materials management, or enterprise systems.
  • Experience in strategic sourcing activities relating to mechanical components and raw materials.
  • Available for occasional travel, to include international travel.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools to include Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Strong interpersonal and coordination skills are essential.

Nice To Haves

  • Oracle or other ERP system experience preferred.
