About The Position

Position Summary: Under direct supervision, a Sorter assigned to the Product Identification Department (PID) is responsible for preparing returned/recalled pharmaceuticals that have been scanned for further processing. The Sorter position requires high attention to detail and ability to operate technology such as software applications, and touch screen computers and the ability to read, understand and follow standard operating procedures specific to this position. Primary Accountabilities: Review paperwork attached to the order and verify client information matches the computer system client profile; weigh the entire order and enter information into computer system Sort items in the order by manufacturer Separate any non-returnable or waste items and put them in the proper location Weigh the non-returnable/waste items and enter information into computer system Fill out forms pertaining to the order as instructed Always maintain a clean and orderly workstation and area If forklift certified, operate forklift for movement of order/products on the processing floor, if assigned Additional Responsibilities: Performs other duties as assigned Complies with all policies and standards

Requirements

  • High School diploma (or its equivalent) or minimum of two year’s work experience in a warehouse or production job; or any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to complete the responsibilities of this position required
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Working knowledge of computers
  • Able to follow standard operation and safety procedures
  • Able to work in an environment that is not climate controlled
  • Able to read small print, such as on a pharmacy bottle
  • Able to push a cart or hand truck up to 100 yards; able to use a pallet jack
  • Able to grasp and use box cutters and seal zip lock bags
  • Able to work under time pressure and meet production goals; able to work more than 8 hours per day (over-time) as needed
  • Able to assist with other operations within the warehouse, as needed
  • Able to handle hazardous waste materials with appropriate safety measures
