About The Position

Will work around student's school schedule. The imaging technician student is involved in a variety of technical procedures to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for and/or performing ultrasound examinations for diagnosis of patients.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent education required.
• Current student in final spring semester of an approved school of Ultrasound Science.
• Letter of support from Program Director.
• Applies knowledge of growth and development to appropriately care for all patients served.
• Good interpersonal, technical skills and flexibility in assignments.

Responsibilities

• Under direct supervision of a registered technologist, operates highly specialized, technical equipment to obtain quality radiographs.
• Performs duties associated with processing patients, which may include scheduling, registration, file management and computer processing skills.
• Evaluates and positions patients with a high degree of professional ethics, care, courtesy, patience and safety.
