About The Position

Department: 35025 Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center - Obstetrics/Gynecology: Sonographers: Stratford Executive Pk Shepherd Status: Part time Benefits Eligible: No Hours Per Week: 15 Schedule Details/Additional Information: Scheduled hours would be during available time outside of her required courses and clinic hours for the FTCC Sonography Program. What You'll Need: High school diploma or GED equivalent. Current enrollment in an AMA or CMA accredited program in diagnostic ultrasound required. CPR certification through American Heart Associate or American Red Cross required. What You'll Do: Adheres to the general hospital standards to promote a cooperative work environment by utilizing communication skills, interpersonal relationships and team building. Follows hospital and departmental policies and procedures. Assumes responsibility for keeping informed about changes in policies and procedures. Participates in departmental in-service and educational offerings. Contributes to the overall quality of services. Performs or assists in performing quality ultrasound examinations in a timely and efficient manner while under the supervision and/or direction of a staff Sonographer, ensuring consistent workflow and high level of productivity. Schedules procedures and maintains appropriate records that contribute to the efficiency of department operations. Coordinates with other departments as needed. Assists with room preparation and restocking of rooms and other departmental storage areas with supplies necessary for patient care and procedures. Participates in educational activities to enhance patient care and quality of services provided. Ensures age/developmentally appropriate care is provided in accordance with Age-Specific Care Guidelines for the specific age groups served to ensure patient's needs are met. Requirements
