Responsibilities From selecting the appropriate equipment in examining our patients to producing images of internal organs, maintaining accurate records and providing assistance and clinical oversight to sonography students -- we deliver the excellent care our patients deserve. We are looking for an exception al Sonographer 2 (mid-level medical sonographer) who thrives on a fast-paced environment, complex work, and is committed to excellence in their profession. Performing imaging and positioning techniques based on your knowledge of human anatomy, principles of imaging and patient care procedures. Carrying out tasks as both an individual-care-provider and as part of a diagnostic team with ultrasound supervisors, radiologists and/or cardiologists. Producing 2-dimensional sonographic recordings of internal organs for accurate diagnoses and the study of malfunctioning organs. In this role some of your key responsibilities would include but are not limited to: Prepping the appropriate equipment for use in an ultrasound setup and following exam specifications. Instructing, explaining and assisting patients in assuming the correct physical positions for exams. Operating a transducer and adjusting equipment controls, depth of field and other specifications according to the organ being examined. Producing images of internal organs and recording diagnostic data on digital images. Accurately transferring images following imaging procedures. Providing assistance, guidance and clinical oversight to sonography students .

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, General Education Development (GED) or Completion of a CMC Approved Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Certificate required
  • Fulfill prerequisite of American Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS), the American Registry of Radiologic Technologies (ARRT), or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) certification required
  • 1 year of clinical experience in diagnostic medical sonography and ability to demonstrate required competency required
  • Demonstrated ability to perform all exams based on facility requirements required
  • BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required
  • RDMS(AB) - ARDMS RDMS Abdomen
  • RDMS(OB) - ARDMS RDMS OB/GYN
  • RVT - ARDMS Registered Vascular Tech
  • ARRT(S) - ARRT Sonography
  • ARRT(VS) - ARRT Vascular Sonography
  • RVS - CCI Registered Vascular Specialist
  • RDCS(AE) – ARDMS RDCS Adult Echocardiography
  • RCS - CCI Registered Cardiac Sonographer
  • ACS - CCI Advanced Cardiac Sonographer
