About The Position

POSITION SUMMARY: Operates ultrasound equipment and ancillary equipment to provide diagnostic images and invasive procedure guidance for interpretation by a Radiologist. The Sonographer has expertise in General Abdominal, OB/GYN, and/or Vascular anatomy examinations. Assists referring physicians with selection of appropriate exams for the clinical indications. Provides technical support to the radiologist and to other referring physicians. Expertise in ultrasound image interpretation.

Requirements

• American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) and/or Registered Vascular Technician (RVT) certification as applicable to the field of expertise.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Associate’s degree or higher with an emphasis in the physical sciences and/or Ultrasound Technology.
• Graduate from an accredited, formal program in Ultrasound Technology required.
