About The Position

The Ministry Site Director provides both spiritual and organizational leadership to effectively carry out the mission of STYFC. This role requires the ability to recruit, develop, and lead volunteer teams, coach residents, and build strong partnerships with local churches and community leaders. The Site Director is responsible for implementing relational ministry actions that foster Authentic Christ-Sharing Relationships with young people, while also managing ministry operations, fundraising efforts, and administrative responsibilities. With a commitment to personal spiritual growth, the Site Director embodies and advances the core values of STYFC, leading a healthy, growing ministry that impacts the lives of youth through the YFC ministry model. Responsibilities

  • Ministry Team Development (40%)
  • Recruit, train, and maintain volunteer ministry leader team in accordance with the processes found in the Knowledge Base
  • Conduct monthly training with volunteers
  • Coach residents in your assigned area
  • Conduct one-on-one meetings at least once a month
  • Create a strong connection between local churches and the ministry site
  • Provide training materials and ministry site standards for ministry leaders
  • Develop healthy ministry teams for each ministry site
  • Create a yearly vision and goals for the ministry site
  • Help every member of the ministry team see themselves in the yearly vision
  • Establish necessary support and guidelines to ensure healthy and growing ministry at all sites
  • Be an advocate in the community for young people
  • Attend ministry and staff meetings as directed
  • Meet regularly with supervisor for supervision, coaching, and shepherding
  • Meet at least once a month
  • Help manage and maintain any YFC buildings or property
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Report progress and ministry updates to STYFC
  • Relational Ministry Action Development (35%)
  • Responsible for managing, facilitating, and serving in the Relational Ministry Actions (RMAs)
  • Direct the ministry team at their site in accomplishing the standards outlined in the RMAs found in the Knowledge Base
  • Establish and develop programming materials
  • Train and evaluate ministry site leaders in the implementation of curriculum materials
  • RMA Requirements for site:
  • Contacting: 3x/week
  • Initiating new relationships with lost young people
  • Club: 1x/week
  • A welcoming, safe, high-energy, large group meeting designed to help lost young people discover who Jesus is by fostering authentic Christ-sharing relationships and connecting relevant topics to scripture
  • Building Times: 1x/week
  • Spending time in shared experiences with young people to build new relationships and grow existing ones
  • Appointments: 2x/week
  • Meeting with young people to focus on their individual needs
  • Small Groups: 1x/week (may have 2 groups to split gender)
  • A meeting with several young people to have an interactive discussion about relevant topics and connect them to God's truth
  • Core: 1x/week
  • A team of adult and young leaders from a Campus Life Ministry Site who together follow Jesus in a way that naturally invites friends to discover Jesus with them
  • Trips, camps, and other overnight events:
  • Fall & Spring Retreats
  • Summer Camp
  • Attend staff retreat
  • Fundraising and Development (10%)
  • Grow and maintain new and current donors
  • Pray for all giving partners regularly
  • Thank and personally connect with each giving partner at least once a year
  • Make touchpoints with ministry updates every 60 days and maintain 60-day report
  • Update Letter
  • Maintain database
  • Help with fireworks stand — required to work on July 4th and Dec. 31st
  • Administration (10%)
  • Complete and maintain 60-Day Reports
  • Ensure monthly updates to Impact & Site Trackers
  • Respond to emails effectively and use them for documentation
  • Complete annual CPT Reports with the team
  • Maintain Ministry Budget:
  • Stay within monthly club expense limits
  • Turn in receipts in a timely manner
  • Confidentiality:
  • Maintain confidentiality: Ensure that confidential information about staff, volunteers, or kids is not shared inappropriately
  • Incident Reporting Protocol: When an incident is reported, refrain from discussing specific names or details with others on the team. Such matters should only be shared with your supervisor or within the leadership team as necessary. Beyond that, it is crucial to respect confidentiality and handle these situations with discretion
  • Empower others to uphold confidentiality: Lead by example and encourage staff, volunteers, and peers to prioritize confidentiality in their conversations and actions. Reinforce the importance of discretion and guide others to follow

  • Pray for YFC and Leaders
  • 15 minutes daily inviting God into the day and praying through activities for the day
  • 30 minutes at the start of the week to pray through the week, inviting God and surrendering the week to Him
  • 4 hours monthly inviting and surrendering the month to Him and praying for strategic initiatives (supervisor will ask monthly what God is speaking about)

  • Specific assignments for the Primary Steward will be listed in the Task List.
  • All Employees are assigned the role of Secondary Steward, which plays a supporting role to the Primary Steward to serve a chapter in a specific way, for a specific timeframe as determined by the Primary Steward. Secondary Stewards can be assigned to focus on specific management issues like YFC compliance, legal, risk, strategic planning, fund development coaching, staff development coaching, new ministry site development, process stewardship or a variety of other equipping roles.
  • Seek God's guidance and wisdom, through prayer and meditation, for the organization as a whole as well as for specific ministry initiatives.
  • Participate and lead regular times of prayer, devotion and worship as a regular aspect of your role within YFC.
  • Teach and preach from the Holy Bible at YFC staff meetings, conferences, camps and events.
  • Model empathy, humility and care for all people. This includes promoting equity and inclusion in word and in the practice of faith expression. YFC employees will have an opportunity to be commissioned or licensed as a minister of the Gospel through the established Youth for Christ process, and/or ordained by an outside body recognized by Youth for Christ USA.
  • Initiate and maintain personal fundraising efforts, reaching full financial support within the first year of employment.
  • Build and maintain relationships with supporters through personal meetings, handwritten notes, and consistent communication.
  • Invite your circle of influence to engage through fundraising events, monthly giving, and prayer support.
  • Lead by example in cultivating a support team that fuels the mission of reaching lost youth with the hope of Jesus.
  • This position oversees a budget and will be expected to learn and manage our budgeting processes, financial cycles, and reporting systems. Additionally, the role requires holding direct reports accountable for maintaining and staying within their assigned budgets.
