By merging our fields of expertise, we aim to become a fully integrated precision medicine company. Summary of Position This is a Full-time paid internship opportunity. It is an Entry-level hybrid analyst, scientist, and engineer role where you will learn about genetics, bioinformatics, workflow, and system design. You will be given opportunities to see the interactions between clinical workflows, business operations, bioinformatics, and systems development. You will be taught on basics on how to build and operate enterprise solutions that connect every aspect of our lab from clinical services to data research. Core Technology-Stack includes: SQL, Node, JQuery, Java, Scala, Python, R, and more. Key Job Elements This hybrid analyst/scientist/engineer intern role at Fulgent gives you exposure to an assortment of multiple professions. Your goal is to learn and observe how to ensure successful operations within the lab. This may require you to understand complex business, scientific, or engineering problems using analytical, procedural, and/or creative abilities. It is expected that you will learn and understand our required clinical standards/guidelines (ACMG, ACOG, CLIA, CAP, HIPAA, HITECH, etc.) so that you can learn to be advisory specialists to other departments and leads in the future. When capable and trained, it is expected that you will participate in establishing operational policy and procedures to be followed by other departments.

Requirements

• Junior or Senior Student of Computer Science major or related field of studies.
• Basic knowledge of programming language.
