About The Position

This Solution Consultant is a vital partner and trusted advisor that provides in-depth product demonstrations, conducts requirements analysis, and develops tailored solutions. The role is key for presenting BILL’s product to Mid-Market, API prospects, and accounting firms interested in API build-outs for clients. Success requires strong technical skills, presentation abilities, and an understanding of complex business process flows.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field required.
• 8+ years pre-sales experience in Enterprise/Mid-Market SaaS, ideally focused on financial buyers.
• Application experience with NetSuite, Intacct, Microsoft Dynamics GP, and/or Business Central is desirable.
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, including HTTP methods, status codes, JSON payloads, and request/response structures.
• Strong analytical skills to process data and draw insightful conclusions.
• High standards for personal and team performance.
• Exceptional, concise written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven quick learner with intellectual curiosity.

Responsibilities

• Define AP, Spend & Expense requirements for key Mid-Market, API, and Accounting firm prospects.
• Serve as a primary pre-sales technical consultant for API sales, Mid-Market, and Accounting firm opportunities, resolving complex technical inquiries.
• Position Bill solutions to both financial/accounting and technical audiences, including the Developer Network.
• Develop and deliver compelling Bill solution demonstrations (in-person and web).
• Clearly articulate Bill's AP/AR benefits to all stakeholder levels, from developers to senior leadership.
• Drive continuous improvement for demonstrations and guide solution enhancements by collaborating with sales, enablement, and product teams.
• Recommend A/P, A/R, and S&E process optimizations and provide expertise on technical integration.
• Act as the subject matter expert on competitive payment and adjacent solutions.
• Create clear, customer-facing messaging on Bill's differentiators and use cases, leveraging the latest product releases.
• Develop technical responses for RFPs and RFIs.
• Translate business objectives into precise integration requirements by partnering with prospect technical leads and Bill product/engineering.
