About The Position

The AWS Global Sales team drives the adoption of the AWS cloud worldwide, enabling customers to innovate and expand. The team focuses on understanding unique customer challenges and crafting innovative solutions. The AWS Games Solutions Architecture team is specifically looking for an experienced and motivated technologist to work with innovative game companies. This role involves creating strategies, best practices, and solving complex business challenges within the Games industry. The Solutions Architect will work with hyper-growth games companies, AAA studios, technology platforms, and middleware partners to help them build better games using the AWS cloud. The ideal candidate should be self-motivated, possess a deep understanding of Game technologies (engines, platforms, middleware), applicable technical use cases, architectures, and development workflows, and be able to connect technology with measurable business value. Strategic thinking about business, products, and technical challenges is also required.

Requirements

• 2+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
• 4+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
• 6+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience

Nice To Haves

• Experience working within software development or Internet-related industries
• Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud
• Experience working with AWS technologies from a dev/ops perspective

Responsibilities

• Together with the broader Games teams, help develop the strategic plan for AWS, particularly the technical elements of the strategy and plan to engage customers and partners.
• Establish technical credibility in sales cycles (personally or with the broader technical team), and can credibly drive discussions with CTOs, CIOs, Chief Architects, Senior Developers, etc. from both customers and partners across the Gaming industries.
• Collaborate with customers in the Games industry who use Engine, Platform, and Middleware Technologies to implement, test, and expand programs. Work in the field alongside sales enablement specialists, regional business development teams, and account management personnel to ensure successful deployment and scaling of these initiatives.
• Deliver presentations at customer briefings and industry events, while establishing AWS Game Tech as a thought leader by showcasing innovative solutions in gaming technology domains.
