This individual will specialize in providing industry and technical expertise to help close sales in our Weather business.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of the utilities industry
  • 5+ years of experience working with enterprise customers in a Solution Engineer, pre-sales, technical sales, or solution delivery role.
  • Be a brilliant storyteller, comfortable with challenging customers and prospects and teaching for value.
  • Knowledge of the challenges businesses encounter when adopting SaaS solutions in their Digital Transformation journey.
  • Strong commercial acumen required

Responsibilities

  • Effectively collaborates with account-assigned sales professionals to close sales of strategic, complex/technical products
  • Uses in-depth subject matter and product knowledge to provide technical expertise to sales professionals and customer end-users through sales presentations and product demonstrations
  • Assists sales professionals in assessing potential applications of company products and developing recommendations to meet customer needs
  • Prepares detailed product specifications for the implementation of customer products/applications/solutions, as needed
  • Provides consultation to prospective users, and internal commercial teams and/or product capability assessment and validation
  • Drives revenue generation for an assigned set of products
  • Become a trusted advisor to clients and prospects

  • The targeted hiring base pay range for this position is between $70,000 and $92,000 .
  • DTN is a pay-for-performance organization, which means there is the opportunity to advance your compensation with performance over time.
  • The actual base pay offered for this position will be dependent upon many factors, including but not limited to: prior work experience, training/education, transferable skills, business needs, internal equity, and applicable laws.
  • The targeted hiring base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
  • This role may also be eligible for market-competitive variable pay and benefits.
