About The Position

Solution Design Consultant (Cox Business) Responsible for providing support for new and existing Cox Business customers for configuration of complex products including Hosted Voice, Carrier Ethernet Service, Managed and Cloud Services. This includes supporting fulfillment activity, partnering with third party vendors and promoting additional services where applicable. Focus on complex solution deployments that require advanced technical network and/or expert product knowledge and certifications. What’s in It for You? Requirements

  • 6 years of experience in a related;or a BS/BA degree in a related discipline with 2 years of experience in a related field;or MS/MA degree in a related discipline
  • Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience
  • Must have a clean driving record and be able to travel to customer locations within the system
  • Ability to work virtually, as part of a regional or national team

Nice To Haves

  • Technical Product Configuration and Troubleshooting Experience
  • 4+ years in telecommunications
  • 2+ years’ experience in telecom service configuration
  • Ability to train individuals and groups
  • Technical aptitude, including Windows based applications (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
  • Written and verbal communication skills
  • Negotiation, problem solving, and analytical skills
  • Competent organizational and follow-through skills
  • Competent interpersonal and relationship management skills
  • Ability to provide solutions to customer needs and challenges
  • VOIP or Networking Certifications Preferred

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Sales Engineering and Sales to translate contracted services on order, pre-sales design package, and customer provisioning information into detailed configuration requirements needed for deployment of advanced services into customer environment.
  • Serve as interface between Cox Business and customer to capture technical details of customer’s network and desired configuration.
  • Initiate, plan, execute and control project efforts including assisting Sales Engineers in coordinating cutovers to Cox service; including vendor coordination, on site testing and customer communication.
  • Provide expert on-site configuration support for customer data collection and site information, focusing on advanced solution deployments for our highest value customers.
  • Provide flex support to local, regional, and national teams supporting multi-site solutions and out of footprint opportunities.
  • Product scope includes, but is not limited to Unified Communications and Hosted Voice Solutions: Complete service configuration forms with customer to support equipment installations Focus on Hosted Voice installs, transfers, and upgrades Support collection of SIP and other voice trunk configurations to assist the Cox Business Sales Engineer Hosted Voice Project Expert Support- Gather customer design information for advanced business solutions
  • Managed Technology Services: Translate network design documentation into equipment order, and facilitate handoff of customer provisioning details and configuration requirements to aid equipment ordering and installation Support collection of unique customer network requirements including VLAN, IP, and routing requirements SD-WAN, SD-Gateway, and Managed WiFi pre- and post-sale support functions Perform complex customer qualification administrative tasks plus additional administrative and coordination functions as required
  • Business Video Solutions: Collect all information about the property, type of TVs, design of the splash/guide page, start-up channel, etc.
  • Additional Services: Flexibility to support expansion to data collection across new forms of business that may include managed services, hosted solutions, and new industry verticals and product lines as needed
