About The Position

As a Solution Architect, you will lead the end-to-end design, implementation, and integration of secure, scalable court case management systems (CMS) with state, federal, and partner agency platforms. Your responsibilities will include: Architect End-to-End Solutions: Design and document robust, standards-based architectures for cloud, and hybrid CMS, ensuring compliance with CJIS, HIPAA, FedRAMP, and other regulatory frameworks. Integration Leadership: Oversee secure, bi-directional integration with external systems (e.g., payment processors, law enforcement, health/social services), leveraging APIs, middleware, and secure data exchange protocols (such as Azure Logic Apps, Service Bus, or equivalent). Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with court leadership, IT, vendors, and external agencies to align technical solutions with business goals, facilitate requirements gathering, and communicate architectural decisions. Risk & Compliance Management: Conduct risk assessments, vulnerability analyses, and develop mitigation strategies for all system interfaces and data flows. Ensure all integrations and system components meet legal, regulatory, and privacy requirements. Implementation Oversight: Guide the configuration, customization, and rollout of the CMS, including data migration, user acceptance testing, and go-live support. Lead troubleshooting and resolution of integration issues. Continuous Improvement: Monitor emerging technologies, threats, and best practices. Mentor technical teams and foster a culture of security, innovation, and continuous improvement. Training & Knowledge Transfer: Develop and deliver training for administration, maintenance, and extension of integration features to empower client staff for long-term independence.

Requirements

  • Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD "PUBLIC TRUST"; candidates must obtain approved adjudication of their PUBLIC TRUST prior to onboarding with Guidehouse. Candidates with an ACTIVE PUBLIC TRUST or SUITABILITY are preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • At least five (5) years of experience in solution architecture, system integration, or IT delivery, preferably in justice, government, or regulated environments
  • Deep expertise in designing and securing cloud-native and hybrid systems (Azure, AWS, Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365)
  • Hands-on experience with statewide or multi-agency implementations and integrations
  • Proven experience with secure integration patterns, APIs, middleware, and identity/access management (Azure AD, OAuth, SSO, MFA)
  • Proficiency in security frameworks, encryption, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences
  • Familiarity with low-code platforms, cloud-native development, and responsible AI principles
  • Experience with data migration, system configuration, and user training for large-scale case management implementations
  • Ability to travel up to 25%

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in consulting or client-facing roles, supporting digital transformation or modernization initiatives in the justice sector
  • Familiarity with CJIS, HIPAA, FedRAMP, Section 508, and other relevant standards
  • Experience leading security reviews, mentoring teams, and driving continuous improvement in security and integration practices
  • Knowledge of Agile project management and change management in public sector environments
