THE ROLE We are seeking a highly skilled and self-driven, hands on Solutions Architect to join our team building innovative solutions that support Pure's strategic workloads that are leveraged by Enterprise customers across the globe. You will be part of a highly collaborative, cross-functional team and a key owner of the entire lifecycle of Pure's Enterprise solutions including concept, design, definition, build, documentation and presentation. Leveraging the power of Pure's market-leading data storage platforms, your solutions built in tight integration with third party Alliance technologies will drive market leadership across a wide range of enterprise workloads and emerging use cases.

Requirements

• Broad and deep experience in Systems Engineering; designing, deploying, and managing large scale, enterprise infrastructure and enterprise technology solutions stacks from business applications, hypervisor platforms, operating systems, compute, networking storage, and cloud environments.
• Strong solution engineering and architecture experience, building and validating comprehensive solutions that address technical and business needs.
• Proficiency with Linux, scripting (Bash/Python).
• Strong command of storage technologies and network interconnects, including block, file, and object protocols (e.g., FC, iSCSI, NFS, SMB, S3) and their applications in performance and scale environments.
• Experience with hybrid and multi-cloud architectures spanning on-premises platforms (VMware, Nutanix, OpenShift, Kubernetes) and public clouds (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Ability to communicate technical value through technical marketing, including creation of content, presentations, and messaging for target audiences such as IT buyers, influencers, and decision-makers.
• Strong understanding of systems performance, scalability, and integration best practices.
• Awareness of emerging trends in infrastructure modernization, cloud-native architectures, and automation.
• Understanding of large-scale enterprise infrastructure design, optimization, and protection.
• Strong troubleshooting and performance diagnostic skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of experience in infrastructure, cloud, or solution architecture roles.
• Proven ability to execute strategies and deliver high-quality solutions aligned with organizational goals.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering practical and impactful results.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present to both technical and executive audiences.
• Demonstrated adaptability and curiosity to learn new technologies.
• Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Collaboratively define and execute solutions at every phase of the lifecycle: design, development, integration validation, documentation, and evangelism of Pure's technology solutions.
• Create technical documentation, including reference architectures, best practices, white papers, and solution briefs, that effectively communicate the value of Pure Storage solutions to technical and line of business personas.
• Showcase Pure solutions integrations with third party alliance technologies in production development lab environments for use in field and partner enablement, customer POCs, and demos.
• Present and represent solutions content to internal pre-sales teams, customers, and partners, translating technical details into business value and actionable insights.
• Cross functional partnership with engineering, product management, field architects and systems engineers, professional services, and marketing teams to drive market growth, thought leadership, and roadmap alignment with go-to-market and product strategies.
• Collaborate with marketing to develop and refine messaging, presentations, and technical content that highlight the business value and differentiation of Pure Storage solutions for key audiences such as IT leaders, architects, and infrastructure teams.
• Plan, outline, and publish professional technical documents on schedule, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and ownership of the solution documentation lifecycle.
• Work with field teams to understand customer challenges and deliver practical, scalable, and impactful solutions.
• Work collaboratively within the team and across functions to achieve common goals and drive innovation.
• Communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing, tailored to technical and executive audiences.
• Balance multiple priorities in a dynamic environment, ensuring timely and effective project delivery.
• Provide L-3 escalation support for pre and post sales activities on solutions you own.
• This is a primarily in-office role based in Santa Clara, CA, in compliance with Pure's on-site policies.
