About The Position

seeking a Senior Solutions Architect / Enterprise Architect to provide strategic technical leadership across enterprise technology initiatives. The architect will guide solution design, modernization, integrations, security, governance, and vendor strategy while ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. This role partners closely with executive leadership, business stakeholders, IT teams, and vendors.

Requirements

  • 15+ years in technology consulting/advisory roles
  • 10+ years as Senior/Lead Solution or Enterprise Architect
  • Strong expertise in solution architecture, integration, and IT security
  • Experience with cloud architectures (AWS & GCP)
  • Deep understanding of government regulations & compliance
  • Experience with data warehousing, big data, and analytics platforms
  • Programming: .NET, Python, Java, Node.js
  • Databases: Relational & NoSQL
  • CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools
  • Cloud platforms: AWS & GCP

Nice To Haves

  • Government agency experience highly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Translate business objectives into future-state enterprise architectures
  • Reduce technical debt while promoting innovation and sustainability
  • Design scalable, secure, and cloud-native solutions aligned to CDLE goals
  • Develop high-level solution architectures, system components, interfaces, and data flows
  • Evaluate emerging technologies (AI/ML, cloud services) and recommend vendors
  • Support RFPs and SOWs with technical evaluation criteria and proposal reviews
  • Define enterprise integration strategies and interoperability standards
  • Guide modernization of legacy systems and interfaces
  • Ensure data consistency, quality, and real-time data exchange
  • Coordinate integrations with vendors and partner agencies
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations (IRS, SSA, CJI, Federal Data)
  • Define security strategies covering IAM, encryption, logging, monitoring, and threat detection
  • Collaborate with legal and policy teams on regulatory compliance and audits
  • Align solutions with Colorado OIT security standards
  • Establish and enforce architecture governance, standards, and best practices
  • Provide oversight on technology investments and project prioritization
  • Participate in governance boards and steering committees
  • Develop and maintain enterprise technology roadmaps
  • Provide architectural guidance on project planning and execution
  • Monitor risks, timelines, and delivery quality
  • Act as liaison between business teams, IT, and vendors
  • Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Enterprise Architecture Strategy documentation
  • Solution Architecture & Technical Design Documents (TDDs)
  • Integration & API specifications
  • Security, access control, and compliance documentation
  • Technical roadmaps and architectural review reports
  • Proof-of-Concepts (POCs) as required
  • Knowledge transfer materials and weekly status reports
