About The Position

The Solbern Filling Machine Operator position is an entry-level opportunity at Conagra's Imlay City, Michigan, facility, which is home to Vlasic Brand pickle and pepper products. The operator is responsible for the proper operation of the Solbern Filling Machine, ensuring jars are filled correctly, and performing machine and line shutdowns. This includes monitoring the machine's operation and verifying correct fill through routine weight checks. On-the-job training will be provided to ensure success in the role. The position reports to Production and Team Leaders and offers opportunities on both first and second shifts, with a regular shift schedule and overtime based on business demand. Responsibilities

Follow standard work procedures.
Operate the Filling Machine equipment.
Maintain a steady stock flow to the line.
Verify stock quality.
React to glass breakage following plant procedures and safety rules.
Administer lockout tagout (LOTO) procedures.
Ensure machine and surrounding area is kept neat and sanitary.
Adapt to changing situations.
Work with Quality department, Production and Team Leaders.
Train employees.
Complete documentation observing Safe Quality Foods (SQF) standards.
Read and interpret a variety of instructions/documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ensure actions remain consistent with plant safety goals and procedures.
