A large IPP is looking for a Solar Operations and Maintenance Technician II to help perform operations and maintenance activities within a defined facility or set of facilities. The ideal candidate has previous experience in electrical maintenance on photovoltaic systems or industrial equipment. You will: Be responsible for planning performance of electrical tasks within DC, AC, and MV systems on a utility scale solar facility. Perform basic electrical testing and repairs using industry standard practices. The Job Perform scheduled and corrective maintenance and repair work on substations, UPS, battery back-ups, and SCADA systems. Perform testing using IV Curve Tracers, Power Quality Meters, Insulation Resistance Testers, Multimeters, and other equipment as needed. Assist management with field investigations to support predictive analytics, root cause analysis and serial defect reports. Provide subject matter expertise and mentoring to junior O&M Technicians in electrical systems and safety. Assist in creating and reviewing preventative and corrective maintenance SOP's. Education & Experience 3+ years of experience working in electrical maintenance including apprenticeships. OSHA 10 required Working knowledge of NEC, NFPA70E and OSHA standards. State electrical license or NABCEP certification preferred. Experience with MV/HV systems, SCADA systems, Inverters, T&D systems, Substations, or other specialized electrical system especially with solar systems is highly preferred.
