About The Position

Tutors will provide small group and individual instruction in the areas of reading and/or mathematics. Individualized plans to remediate students in reading and/or mathematics through modeling, demonstrating, explaining, reviewing and assessing students' work. The ideal candidate will have prior teaching or tutoring experience. Performs professional work providing teaching to students in general instruction or in a specialized subject or assigned group of subjects. Work is performed under regular supervision. Provides small-group instruction; Provides intervention to students and reinforces skills in math and reading content areas; Prepares intervention sessions to foster academic development; Assesses student progress as directed by the teacher; Communicates regularly with teachers; Attends training as scheduled;

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree preferred or the equivalent with at least 30 semester hours from an accredited institution of higher learning, verified by transcript
• Prior teaching or tutoring experience
