About The Position

Special Operations and Intelligence Unit (SOIU) is within the North Carolina Department of Adult Correction and is responsible for identifying appropriate security goals, objectives, standards, and strategies and technologies used. SOIU also collaborates with Prisons and Community Supervision staff and oversees the collection, analysis and sharing of intelligence information. Reporting to the Telecommunicator Assistant Manager in the SOIU Communications Center, this position serves as a shift supervisor, supervising SOIU Telecommunicators on an assigned shift. This position is assigned to NC Department of Adult Correction, Special Operations and Intelligence Unit (SOIU) and is located at the Yonkers Road Complex in Raleigh, NC. This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) with State Benefits.

Requirements

  • High school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and two years of experience as a telecommunicator (OR) an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must meet the applicable education, employment, and training standards as required to be Department of Criminal Information (DCI) certified; must be DCI certified or become certified within 120 days of employment.
