About The Position

Leidos is seeking a Software Tool Manager to support the ACCA5JI Joint Interoperability Tactical Command and Control (JINTACCS) mission at the customer office in Langley, VA. In this role, you will leverage your expertise to manage and deploy the iSMART software toolset, supporting crucial research and implementation of Tactical Data Link (TDL) capabilities across Department of Defense (DoD) platforms and systems. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional with a background in military programs to ensure the effective deployment and utilization of mission-critical software. Position requires a Current or Active DoD Secret clearance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology) with a minimum of 3 or more years of relevant experience. Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience managing a program within the U.S. Air Force.
  • At least 2 years of proven technical experience in organizing and managing comprehensive IT projects and associated data.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with the iSMART process and toolsets.
  • At least 1 year of experience with TDL networks and familiarization with applicable military standards, including US Mil-Std 3011, 6011, 6016, 6017, 6020, 6040, 188-220, and 2045-47001.
  • Active Security+ Certification is required.
  • Current or Active DoD Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Deploy, track, and manage the release of the iSMART toolset across the DoD, providing updated versions according to the government's determined schedule.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on the iSMART process and tools during related meetings, providing recommendations, training, and process support to document system implementation data.
  • Gather and evaluate data to develop comprehensive background papers, staff studies, and presentations that describe implementation strategies, report on progress, and provide persuasive arguments for various audiences.
  • Integrate approved interface change proposals into the government-specified iSMART software tool.
  • Conduct research and gather information to prepare assigned materials, including background papers, staff studies, talking papers, and presentations, for government use.
