About The Position

SAIC is seeking a Junior level Software Test Engineer in Huntsville, AL to join a team of software, test, and systems engineers who develop, test, and maintain the Common Application Suite for Link 16 (CASL) software. CASL is a Windows and Linux desktop application suite used to allow the user to interface with the Link 16 terminals when connected to the Link-16 networks. Candidate would work as part of a small team with the end goal of creating automated test scripts and manual testing for future CASL software releases. Requirements

• A Bachelor's Degree and zero (0) years of experience are required. Six (6) years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree (per contract vehicle)
• Must possess an active Interim Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a Secret clearance; US Citizenship required
• Software testing experience
• Experience with automated testing tools
• Programming experience with languages such as JavaScript and Python

Nice To Haves

• Experience developing or testing software user interfaces
• Familiarity with the agile process

Responsibilities

• Write automated test scripts using the JavaScript and Python programming language
• Develop test criteria and test steps to ensure software is functioning properly
• Coordinate with developers to report bugs and provide feedback
• Execute regression tests regularly and report issues as soon as they are encountered
• Investigate test failures and document clear steps to reproduce them
