About The Position

SAIC is seeking a Junior level Software Test Engineer in Huntsville, AL to join a team of software, test, and systems engineers who develop, test, and maintain the Common Application Suite for Link 16 (CASL) software. CASL is a Windows and Linux desktop application suite used to allow the user to interface with the Link 16 terminals when connected to the Link-16 networks. Candidate would work as part of a small team with the end goal of creating automated test scripts and manual testing for future CASL software releases.

Requirements

A Bachelor's Degree and zero (0) years of experience are required. Six (6) years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree (per contract vehicle).
Must possess an active Interim Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a Secret clearance; US Citizenship required.
Software testing experience
Experience with automated testing tools
Programming experience with languages such as JavaScript and Python

Nice To Haves

Experience developing or testing software user interfaces
Familiarity with the agile process

Responsibilities

Write automated test scripts using the JavaScript and Python programming language.
Develop test criteria and test steps to ensure software is functioning properly
Coordinate with developers to report bugs and provide feedback
Execute regression tests regularly and report issues as soon as they are encountered
Investigate test failures and document clear steps to reproduce them
