Amentum is seeking software testing professionals with related education and/or experience to support systems and software development in support of the Navy and Marine Corps at Dahlgren, VA. You will be part of our growing systems & software engineering team and contribute to our diverse skillsets across multiple contracts in support of our Centers of Excellence. We are looking for individuals to join our team atmosphere that are eager to make a difference by solving complex Digital Engineering challenges. Software Tester Responsibilities Include: Applying your skills to the latest DoD weapons and sensor systems, modernizing the Navy and contributing to mission success. Successful candidates must possess excellent communication skills and interact directly with customers and engineering personnel. Telecommuting availability varies with each position and customer. Supporting submarine weapon systems by working in an Agile environment to review and test developed software. Schedule is predominantly a standard workday but at times flexibility may be required to support a surge effort or event.

  • Applying your skills to the latest DoD weapons and sensor systems, modernizing the Navy and contributing to mission success.
  • Supporting submarine weapon systems by working in an Agile environment to review and test developed software.
  • Experience with Software languages such as C, C++, Java, Python and ability to review developed code to ensure it satisfies requirements and adheres to coding standards.
  • Experience with automated test suites/tools, manual software testing, requirements tracing, development life cycle.
  • Must be able to obtain/maintain a Secret security clearance (at a minimum, must receive/be approved for an interim Secret security clearance in order to start)
  • Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a SECRET Clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in one of the following disciplines: Engineering, Math, Computers Science, and/or Physics
