Join our RHYTHMIA HDx Mapping System team in Waltham, MA. The RHYTHMIA system is a state-of-the-art 3D cardiac mapping and navigation platform used during minimally invasive electrophysiology (EP) procedures. It enables real-time visualization of intracardiac catheters and dynamic 3D anatomical mapping to help physicians identify arrhythmias with precision. Leveraging high-performance rendering and algorithmic techniques, RHYTHMIA delivers stunning visualization and immediate feedback to physicians. As a Software Test Engineer I, you will be an integral part of a highly effective product quality team. You'll work side-by-side with developers in an Agile environment, contributing to test case development across UI, algorithms, and backend components. You'll also gain exposure to test automation, medical-grade documentation practices, and advanced software tools in a collaborative, fast-paced lab setting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 6 months - 2 years' experience in software testing or a related role.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Nice To Haves

  • Product quality and testing experience, preferably within the medical device domain.
  • Working knowledge of test automation in a Linux/Unix environment.
  • Programming experience in Python, C, or C++ (desirable but not required).
  • Detail-oriented with strong documentation skills.
  • Quick learner with the ability to master complex software systems and tools.
  • Experience working in Agile Scrum development environments.
  • Logical and analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Understanding of ISO and FDA documentation and compliance standards.
  • Prior experience with ultrasound devices (preferred, not required).

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and execute test cases to verify system functionality and ensure alignment with business and user requirements.
  • Perform manual execution of tests and run automated test scripts.
  • Ensure testing is conducted in accordance with defined procedures.
  • Document results and generate formal test reports for regulatory submission.
  • Identify and report bugs or enhancements using standard tracking tools.
  • Share product knowledge with team members on an ad hoc basis.
  • Assist in defining test strategies, methodologies, and data setup.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including daily scrums, product reviews, and bug triage meetings.
  • Collaborate with software, hardware, field support, and cross-functional teams.
