About The Position

We’re seeking a highly talented, motivated, and creative individual to lead and support the existing capabilities of an agile software program in the Phantom Works organization. Architect Cloud Solutions: Design and implement scalable, secure, and efficient cloud-based architectures (Amazon Web Services or Azure) that align with business objectives and enhance operational capabilities. Lead the migration from on-premises to cloud-based solutions. DevOps Strategy Development: Lead the development of a comprehensive DevOps strategy, including CI/CD pipelines, automation, and monitoring solutions to streamline software delivery and improve deployment frequency. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including development, operations, and product management, to ensure alignment on project goals and deliverables. Optimization and Waste Reduction: Utilize industrial engineering principles to analyze existing systems and processes, identifying areas for optimization and waste reduction to improve overall efficiency. Define, collect, analyze, and refine Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and metrics for software delivery and team execution to ensure continuous improvement and accountability Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering teams, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. Leads the creation of best practices Lead the effort to develop and document best practices and methodologies for software development, deployment, and operations to ensure consistency and quality across the organization Leads efforts to continuously drive solutions to answer the question “How do we operationally field higher quality end-to-end system software more frequently?” Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate effectively with stakeholders to gather requirements, present architectural designs, and provide updates on project progress. Research and Development : Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in cloud computing and DevOps, and apply this knowledge to enhance our solutions. Requirements

• 15+ years of total experience
• 5+ years of experience in software architecture, with a focus on cloud-based solutions and DevOps practices
• 10 years of experience leading software team and/or projects
• 10 years of experience in automated provisioning and configuring of software-defined infrastructure and designing for continuous deployment and continuous operations
• Proven experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
• Strong understanding of CI/CD tools (e.g., Gitlab, Jenkins) and practices, automation frameworks, and infrastructure as code (IaC)
• This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and strategically
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Experience in industrial engineering or process optimization is highly desirable
• Experience with AWS or Azure GovCloud
• Security+ certification
