About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Software Quality Analyst with 3–5 years of experience to join our team. In this role, you’ll ensure the quality, accuracy, and reliability of our digital products that support educators, students, and libraries. Our web platforms are built in React and leverage AWS-based microservices—experience testing modern SPAs and API-driven applications is highly valued. You’ll collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, Content, and Customer Experience teams to identify issues, improve processes, and maintain high standards across our educational technology platforms. Our preference is for this role to be hybrid, based out of our Edina, MN locations. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Publishing, or a related field—or equivalent professional experience.
  • 3–5 years of quality assurance or quality analyst experience, preferably in edtech, SaaS, or publishing.
  • Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Experience with test management and bug-tracking tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail).
  • Understanding of digital publishing workflows and accessibility requirements.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience testing Single Page Applications (SPAs) and understanding of API testing (Postman, Swagger, etc.) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, Robot Framework) is a plus.
  • Ability to obtain clarifications and report updates with developers and product.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, execute, and maintain test plans, test cases, and testing scripts for both digital and print products.
  • Conduct functional, regression, usability, and compatibility testing to ensure product performance across platforms and devices.
  • Track, document, and report defects, ensuring timely resolution in partnership with development teams.
  • Test React-based web applications and backend RESTful APIs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into clear testing objectives.
  • Verify the accuracy, consistency, and accessibility of digital content and publishing workflows.
  • Contribute to process improvements, automation opportunities, and best practices for quality assurance.
  • Ensure compliance with accessibility standards (WCAG, Section 508) and industry best practices.
