We are seeking an experienced Software Program Lead to join the Land and Air Defense Systems (LADS) software department. The Program Lead will support the Lower Tier Air and Missile Defense Sensor (LTAMDS) SW Integrated Product Team (IPT) and the Low-Rate Initial Production (LRIP) contract. The LTAMDS SW IPT is responsible for developing, integrating, testing and deploying software solutions for advanced radar systems in the missile defense domain.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a bachelor’s in science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 12 years of experience.
  • Experience overseeing cost, schedule and technical performance of a software team
  • Experience with Earned Value Management principles and metrics
  • Software Engineering experience in a DoD environment
  • Ability to obtain Interim Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with missile defense systems, radar, or DoD large-scale systems
  • Exposure to Agile frameworks such as scrum and DevSecOps.
  • Experience interfacing with customers and leading technical solutions to complex user requirements.
  • Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, and Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
  • Experience leading teams across multiple sites
  • Experience leading EAC and bidding efforts for SW scope
  • EAC development experience

Responsibilities

  • Managing the cost, schedule and technical performance of software teams executing full life cycle development of multiple SW products.
  • Working with program management, Office of the Chief Engineer (OCE), and other engineering disciplines to define a prioritized, executable SW backlog
  • Communicating status and progress to SW IPT leadership, program management, and USG customer
  • Managing EACs, EVMS, and Risk and Opportunity activities and artifacts
  • Supporting software bids for new pursuits
