About The Position

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Software Product Manager to support a financial client in managing two critical software applications. This role will drive product strategy, oversee development lifecycles, and ensure alignment between technology solutions and business objectives. The ideal candidate will have experience in agile environments, digital transformation initiatives, and stakeholder collaboration. Location: Frederick, Maryland (3 days onsite / 2 days remote) - Candidate must be within a 30 mile radius of Frederick, MD as per requirements Must be a U.S. Citizen - Position is W2

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred.
  • Experience: 5+ years in software product management or related technical leadership roles.
  • Proven experience managing agile development teams and delivering enterprise-level software solutions.
  • Familiarity with cloud technologies, microservices architecture, and DevOps principles.
  • Skills: Strong understanding of SDLC and agile methodologies and experience supporting software applications based in .NET / C#.
  • Familiarity with Angular.
  • Experience with leading a team of software engineers and with conducting hiring functions.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to balance technical and business priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Product Strategy & Roadmap: Define and execute product roadmaps for two core software applications, ensuring alignment with business goals and client requirements.
  • Agile Delivery Leadership: Collaborate with scrum teams to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions. Facilitate sprint planning, backlog prioritization, and continuous improvement.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with business leaders, engineering teams, and QA to ensure seamless delivery and integration of features.
  • Technical Oversight: Work closely with engineering leadership to maintain architectural integrity, minimize technical debt, and ensure adherence to best practices.
  • Innovation & Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance platform capabilities using emerging technologies such as cloud, microservices, and AI/ML.
  • Risk & Compliance: Ensure all product initiatives meet regulatory and security standards while mitigating technical and operational risks.
